Linda Tatsapaugh
Linda has lived in Western NC since 1991, moving from Greensboro to “the mountains” as soon as she could. She moved into Buncombe County in 2008 with a Black Mountain address but a Swannanoa heart. She loves the can-do and small-town spirit of Swannanoa and is glad to join FANS and contribute her time and energy to nurturing our community.
Linda earned a BA in Religion from Davidson College and an MS from Nova Southeastern University in Child and Youth Care Administration, and has spent most of her career running programs for young people with neurodevelopmental differences (like autism and ADHD). She shifted recently to championing the environment as the organizing manager of MountainTrue, which serves all of Western NC, protecting public lands, clean water, and sustainable communities. In her free time, Linda loves to experience the outdoors in so many ways - hiking, biking, kayaking, SUPing, skiing – and traveling to wherever her wandering son is now.
